Children who play outdoors seem to be less likely than their peers to develop nearsightedness. They’re also somewhat better in classroom preparedness, have longer attention spans, decreased aggression, and lowered levels of stress and depression.

So says The National Wildlife Federation

Now pardon me but has not yours truly here been making similar statements ever since the year 1990 when I first discovered the actual clinical term: WILDERNESS DEPRIVATION DISORDER.

Ever since I had read an article in J.A.M.A. about studies being done on inner city youth, and how it was discovered that due to the fact that these city dwellers, who for no apparent reason all suffered from some degrees of depression, anxiety, unexplained bouts of anger, and attention deficit disorder. And after the studies were completed it was found that all of these disorders were greatly reduced, and in some cases were eliminated completely by introducing these children (patients) into the woods and nature, I have been a very strong proponent for getting our nations youth back to nature and into the wild.

In fact I had written an article for Boar Hunter Magazine a few years back titled: YOUTH GONE WILD that addressed these very same issues which now sit before you!

The Humane Society Of The United States actually promotes NON interaction with nature, citing that nature is better off left alone and not interfered with through human contact. Animal Rights Groups like H.S.U.S. better get with the times and start understanding that todays youth NEED this interaction with nature and that this can be achieved through activity’s such as: Hunting, Fishing, Camping, Hiking, Animal Tracking Classes, Sport Shooting Events, Back Packing and also by just simply taking a walk in your local park!

Now, there have been some issues of which The National Wildlife Federation and I did not agree, but this is one in which I think that we can all agree upon so please click on over there to the N.W.F. site and show your support by signing up for their newsletter and petition, you will be glad that you did!

So sorry for being away from the blog for a few days but we all are currently working our booth at the International Sportsmen’s Exposition here in California.
Native Hunt has also signed up for the full tour which next year will take us to places like: Oregon,Arizona,Utah,New York and possibly Africa.

On Thursday we did a great interview with Cork Graham for his e4outdoors T.V. program.

My very dear friend, Mr. Ronnie Montrose and myself did a joint interview where we have officially revealed our venture into the organic WILD BOAR SAUSAGE COMPANY business together.
If you all liked his hit records and guitar playing virtuosity on songs like BAD MOTOR SCOOTER , ROCK CANDY and TOWN WITHOUT PITY you all are gonna’ LOVE his very original and hand made food creations. Ronnie is an excellent chef and his sausage recipe and meat rub’s are going to be a real hit.

I will keep you all posted on when and what outdoor channel’s that the program with our interview will air!

The top ‘O’ the mornin’ to ye’ all and we will be back real soon with pictures and product review’s from these event’s

California’s Premier Hunting Ranch Sponsors NASCAR’s Paul Pedroncelli Jr.

Native Hunt Enterprises, Inc. sponsored PJ, from Pedroncelli Motorsports, in the September 26th Camping World West Series race. The highly anticipated Native Hunt booth was manned by the wild and crazy ranch staff that were more than happy to share their wild hunting stories and information on all of the unique wild animals which roam their Northern California ranch. Additionally there were prizes, raffles, and plenty of memorabilia available prior to the start of the race.

<img src="http://www.NativeHuntBlog.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/P9260085-300x225.jpg" alt="P9260085" title="P9260085" width="300" height="225" class="aligncenter" size-medium wp-image-86" />

The Camping World West is part of NASCAR’s development series, and was held on the third-mile oval track at the All American Speedway in Roseville, Ca. Our star, PJ Pedroncelli is a budding young driver, following in the footsteps of his father, Paul Sr. a champion winning driver in his time. PJ is currently in his 6th year of racing. In 2007, after PJ was awarded “Rookie of the Year” he quickly moved into the NASCAR developmental series.

PJ was racing the #0 stock car, sponsored in part by Native Hunt Enterprises, Inc. “Unfortunately, in lap 6 of the race PJ’s car was clipped from behind by the #3 car which sent him into the wall and ended the race quicker than we all had planned, said Elaine Pedroncelli, PJ’s mom.

CEO of Native Hunt, T. Michael Riddle is a big believer in the power of the human spirit and the drive and determination it takes to create success for one’s self. Michael came to California from pre-Disney Orlando, Florida in 1980. He had dreams of making a living in the music industry and through his talent and work ethic he carved out a successful career which included several recording deals and extensive touring with his band Valhalla.

“I’ve always felt it is important to support our nation’s young and talented up-and-comers,” says T. Michael. NASCAR has been a part of American culture since 1948 and has paved the way for many to gain success and popularity through national competition. Native Hunt sure is excited to see new generations participating in things like stock car racing, fishing, and of course hunting.”

With the focus and dedication PJ and his team at Pedroncelli Motorsports have, they are sure to go far and Native Hunt is thrilled to sponsor PJ and to be a part of his journey.
